A group of clay artists of various background and experience levels who have worked to establish a guild community members with a shared vision:
"By removing barriers to participation, we seek to connect and grow a diverse community of clay artists in the eastern Ohio / western Pennsylvania region through education, public outreach, artist promotion, collaboration, resources and support."
Our Vision:
To establish and grow, via cooperation and shared experiences,
a vibrant regional community of clay artists.
Our Directives:
Improve access for people who wish to work with clay
Facilitate networking between artists
Learn together through sessions, workshops, and field trips
Promote artists via sales events and participation in markets
Encourage creativity and craftsmanship
Provide low cost studio access and reduced materials costs
Present community events to bring clay artists together to share their craft

Guild: an association of people with similar interests or pursuits.
especially: a group of merchants or craftspeople.
In our minds, a guild is much more that an association of people with similar interests,
it is a group that helps provide, inspiration, training and guidance to those advancing their craft while fostering and promoting the economic interests of their members who may sell their wares.
It is an opportunity to build stronger relationships within the clay community

The Guild is Inviting, Supporting and Promoting Experienced Ceramicists, Potters and Sculptors, Those New to Clay and Everyone In Between from, but not exclusive to:
Kent • Youngstown • Sharon • Hermitage • Slippery Rock
Butler • New Castle • Beaver Falls and Surrounding Areas
An Annual Membership is $20
Membership fees help cover the costs related to the Guild's Website and Insurance.
In addition to individuals, the Guild seeks to Partner with Regional Clay Studios, Art Centers and other related businesses to coordinate cross-promotion opportunities for class offerings, workshops and events in the region and surrounding areas.
There is no associated membership fee with becoming a Guild Partner.
• WHAT WE ARE •
The Guild: December 2022
The Guild will maintain a centralized website for guild members to collaborate in sharing resources, ideas and to offer guidance and support to each other. Plan and produce Networking Events, a planned Regional Studio Tour, Guest Artist Lectures, shared Guild vendor table space at regional art markets, vendor insurance coverage options and more.
Prospective members will be invited and encouraged to actively engage in 2023 networking events and to join planning committees for workshops and regional studio tour.
The Studio: March 2023
Located in New Castle, Pa, the Guild's newly expanded Beanpod Studio, a 3500 sq ft building, initially built out and furnished by Jennifer and Septimus Bean, will begin to offer full studio access passes, weekly instructional sessions, workshops, events and a resource lending library related to all things clay. This central location will offer those interested in advancing their clay knowledge and experience, a full curriculum related to all aspects of the understanding, proper design, creation, production, sales and distribution of ceramic ware.
Guild members in need of a fully equipped studio will be offered the opportunity to purchase a Monthly Access Pass for $30, a Day Access Pass for $12 and 25lbs of Clay with glaze and related kiln firings will be available for $50.
Studio Sessions, Workshops and Events will be offered at reduced rates for all members.
All associated studio fees help to cover the operational costs of maintaining the building and studio equipment. All studio staff are volunteers co-op organizational model.
