Little Lotus Pottery grows out of quiet time at the wheel, where making becomes a way to settle and work things through. The artist preserves areas of bare clay and allows the glaze to break and move, encouraging individuality within the collection. Each piece reflects this intentional process, meant to feel steady, functional, and quietly cathartic in everyday use.
The Grounded Series Collection is made up of functional forms inspired by the colors of nature. This series is tied together with similar shapes and the same combination of layered glazes in an earthly palette of brown, greens, and blues. Each wheel through mug, bowl and vase features a different surface texture to product slight variations during the glaze fire. A portion of bare clay is intentionally left exposed on each piece to complement the glaze, reinforcing the grounding aesthetic of the collection.
