Volunteer Opportunities:
NCECA offers a volunteer option to save on conference fees. POCG will be presenting an option for Guild members to Volunteer at the Conference to help reduce overall costs.
In exchange for about 13 hours of time, volunteers receive a year-long membership, a full conference pass, and a rewarding experience!
NCECA is one of the biggest ceramics conventions in the world, bringing together potters, educators, students, and clay lovers from across the globe for several days of clay‑centered learning and connection.
In 2027, NCECA’s 61st Annual Conference will take place in Baltimore, Maryland, March 10–13, 2027 and PennOhio Clay Guild is putting together a travel and planning group so you don’t have to navigate it solo.

Why Go With a Guild Group?
Big conferences can feel intimidating, especially if it’s your first time or you’re traveling alone. Our PennOhio Clay Guild group is designed to make NCECA feel welcoming, manageable, and fun.
Joining the guild group means:
-
Built‑in travel buddies and people to sit with at demos and talks
-
Shared information about hotels, transportation, and neighborhood options
-
Casual meetups for meals, museum/ gallery visits, and evening events
-
Opportunities to share studio experiences, swap pots, and make long‑term clay connections
We’ll coordinate around the official conference schedule so you can choose your own adventure while still having a supportive community around you.
